Opting for a wide-legged jumpsuit will definitely have you stand out in a sea of gowns on the red carpet — and vertical stripes aren’t necessarily everyone’s first choice. Despite the unique nature of the ensemble, Miley Cyrus, 20, and Rosie Huntington Whiteley, 25, were both spotted in the same nontraditional get-up.

Miley really made a name for herself as the queen of edgy ensembles. That’s why we weren’t surprised with her outfit of choice at the Ryan Seacrest Foundation West Coast debut of the new, multi-media broadcaster center ‘Seacrest Studios’ at CHOC Children’s Hospital on Mar. 22. The former Disney star rocked a strapless, wide-leg, black and white striped Chanel jumpsuit from the Spring 2013 collection. She looked confident in the one-piece ensemble, which went smashingly with her bleach blonde short ‘do, red lipstick, and gold choker.

Victoria’s Secret Angel Rosie Huntington Whiteley is the last person we would expect to see rocking the same look as Miley. In a dramatic change from her usual style, Rosie was the first to sport jumpsuit at the Chanel Pre-Oscar Dinner held at L.A.’s Madeo restaurant. The Angel’s svelte frame looked fantastic in the strapless piece, which she made more feminine with a long strand of pearls around her neck. She looked like a vision with a pretty pink touch to her lips, winged eyeliner, and her wavy blonde locks falling perfectly at her shoulders. If there’s one thing Miley Cyrus likes to do in her free time, it’s play with her hair. No, seriously—we’re, like, 90% sure it’s become her part-time job. Whether she’s dying her tips bluish-blond or trimming her top strands, she refuses to stop having fun with her short ‘do, and we’re TOTALLY not mad at that! In her latest hair escapade, she didn’t dye or cut her ‘do, but instead let hair stylist Christian Marc give her a totally fresh look just by adding a deep side part and a healthy amount of pomade. This slick ‘do paired with her super dark brows is giving us serious ’60s vibes, and we LOVE it.

Lately, Miley has been styling her blonde tips upwards into a mini faux-hawk for a ’90s, punky look, but we have to say we’re seriously impressed with how a part and pomade can really transform her entire face! From the front we can see that Christian added a perfect little pomp to make it a touch more stylized, and we’re kiiiind of obsessed. Hitting up the Harper’s Bazaar bash in LA, the presenter gave us complete print envy in her new season ensemble.

Miley Cyrus evoked similar ‘ohhs’ and ‘ahhs’ when she flashed the flesh in the same spring/summer stripes at New York Fashion Week.

Cosying up to the designer himself, Miley put a quirky spin on things with a Mickey Mouse slogan jumper.

Both ladies also favoured a red lip and black handbag pairing as they allowed their bold prints to really pop.

It’s election fever over in America and lotsa stars have come out once again to support Obama. They don’t just tell their fans to vote, they get creative wearing their candidate of choice on their t-shirts, nails, dresses, hands….

Katy Perry is the most original Obama-ista with his face on her nails and performing in a democrat blue suit with a Statue of Liberty torch mic. She also wore a white rubber ballot dress for an Obama concert, unsurprisingly the box for Obama was coloured in.

Beyoncé went for a pair of silver hoops to show her support, with Obama written inside them. Miley Cyrus tweeted a snap of her in an Obama t-shirt and SJP has been wearing a badge on her jackets. Stars have also taken to doodling their support on their hands in black pen.

Speaking of celebs and Obama, Lena Dunham has released an ad campaign to encourage college students to vote by comparing voting for the first time to losing your virginity. She says: “Your first time shouldn’t be with just anybody. You want to do it with a great guy.”

The City Of Hope Honors Halston Gala took place at Exchange L.A. in Los Angeles yesterday, and while that in itself is worthy of polite applause — we’re getting used to mega parties around these parts so excuse the blase, okay? —- we’re a lot more enthusiastic about the guestlist. The very small guestlist worth getting excited about, we mean! Miley Cyrus, Jordin Sparks and Britney Spearswere all there — in formal wear! See? You just got a little giggly too, didn’t you? We’ll get straight to Britney, because as you can see above, and to your surprise and ours, she wasn’t a hot mess. She’s looking pretty sexy in that silver, backless Halston dress, which she paired with YSL shoes, Alexis Bittar jewelry and some mega hair extensions. Then, there was the more pared-down Miley Cyrus, and can we just say, we think she looks totally cute? There is serious love for her right now in this outfit, also because her hair looks just perfect with it! She performed at the do wearing that Temperley London vest and pants. Yes … pants. We wish to hell it was a skirt, but it’s not, so we’re just going to pretend it’s one anyway. Giuseppe Zanotti heels and Loree Rodkin jewels completed her outfit. Completing the trio, and also performing, was Jordin who was the sleekest of the lot. That black gown — could it be Halston or Michael Kors? — is stunning on her, especially with that curtain of silky, straight hair. Miley Cyrus and Demi Lovato might be old friends, but they’ve got two very different looks going on these days. Both gals were out and about at the iHeartRadio festival in Las Vegas yesterday so what better way to compare their styles than with a fash off?

Working the pineapple look once again, Miley styled her hair up as high as it would go, keeping things sleek and demure in a cropped black polo and silver pencil skirt.

Accessorising with leopard print heels, a gold belt and matching watch, Miley kept her make up neutral, penciling around her eyes with a light covering of kohl and finishing off the look with rosy pink lips.

All in all, we think it’s a pretty grown up and striking look, but is that the infamous under-the-boob tattoo we see poking out?

Also into the rock ‘n’ roll look, Demi again opted for dark, simple colours but showed off her pins in this figure-hugging number. Sticking with a simple shape, the dress is jazzed up with gold detailing and cut outs that run up the sides.

Showing off that brand new fringe, she also kept the accessories to a minimum, but we’re loving those towering black heels – we certainly wouldn’t be messing with Demi in those bad boys.

Loading her fingers with rings, Demi’s also kept her make up simple but dramatic with some very smoky eyes.

Miley Cyrus made waves at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards for her unconventional, poufed-out hairdo, which she paired with a sexy sheer floor-length black Pucci dress.

But though she probably prided herself on the edgy look, it’s far from unique.

Kylie Minogue actually sported the same Pucci dress, but in red, at the amfAR’s Cinema Against AIDS gala back in May.

…. Could you believe there’s a 25-year age difference between these two?!

While Miley let her much-talked about haircut dominate her entire look, Kylie let the dress shine, paired with a messy updo and some serious bling on her neck.
