Forget red carpet glamour, that is SO 25 seconds ago. Actually it’s all about celebs wearing their onesies out right now and two big fans of the trend are pals Miley Cyrus and Cara Delevingne, who have both been posting snaps of themselves in comedy animal versions this week.
So if, like us, you’ve been waiting for it to become acceptable to wear your PJs all day long, get on the trend and get your onesie out. The animal theme is massive at the moment and while these two are loving the mythical creature look, we are also big fans of those panda onesies we keep seeing McFly romping about in.
But if you want to steal Miley and Cara’s looks, you can actually get your hands on their clobber in Topshop for a pretty bargainous price. While the Delasagne’s exact dinosaur onesie can be yours for a pocket money friendly £36.00, they’ve also got an awesome zebra number that’ll be perfect for trying to recreate Miley’s bum-wiggling twerking video.
Not going to lie, they are going to be perfect for a lunchtime snooze under our desk, but what do you think? Will you be trying the trend?
If there’s one thing Miley Cyrus likes to do in her free time, it’s play with her hair. No, seriously—we’re, like, 90% sure it’s become her part-time job. Whether she’s dying her tips bluish-blond or trimming her top strands, she refuses to stop having fun with her short ‘do, and we’re TOTALLY not mad at that! In her latest hair escapade, she didn’t dye or cut her ‘do, but instead let hair stylist Christian Marc give her a totally fresh look just by adding a deep side part and a healthy amount of pomade. This slick ‘do paired with her super dark brows is giving us serious ’60s vibes, and we LOVE it.
Lately, Miley has been styling her blonde tips upwards into a mini faux-hawk for a ’90s, punky look, but we have to say we’re seriously impressed with how a part and pomade can really transform her entire face! From the front we can see that Christian added a perfect little pomp to make it a touch more stylized, and we’re kiiiind of obsessed. But we want to know what you think—do you like Miley’s hair better slicked back or spiky? Let us know in the comments below!
Our March cover girl Miley Cyrus isn’t afraid to mess with her mane.
Proving to be a hair cameleon, the fun fearless female recently tweeted “My hurrr ain’t blue. That shits PLATINUM.” Admittedely the singer “went heavy on the shimmer lights,” which imparted a silvery tinge to her very short tresses.
We love her new pale-purple-meets-pewter hair color, but Miley’s tweet got us thinking about pigmented shampoos and conditioners.
When your hair is as bleach blonde as hers, it’s super porous. And porous hair soaks in everything. So, when you’re using these pigmented purple formulas, such as Clairol Shimmer Lights, which really does work wonders when it comes to canceling out any brasiness in your blonde ‘do, it’s important to remember these three things:
1. If you bleach your hair constantly, when you wash it with a purple shampoo and conditioner, saturate it with water first so that the H2O fills up any holes in your hair shaft. That way it won’t be as porous and soak up the colored sudser and conditioner.
2. Use both the pigmented shampoo and conditioner to get the full benefit of the formulas. They’re meant to work together, instead of leaving one of them on for a longer time period in hopes of cancelling out any yellow tones.
3. Don’t leave the formulas on longer than the instructions say, and make sure you rinse them out thoroughly (unless you want Miley’s awesome effect, of course). These kinds of shampoos and conditioners are highly pigmented and super powerful, so you want to be sure to follow the instructions they come with to get the desired results.
Okay, so now that you’re up to speed on pigmented shampoos and conditioners, we have to say that we love that MC has fun with her hair and changes up her look often. It actually inspires us to do the same.
When Miley Cyrus hacked off her hair in Aug. 2012, it was the chop heard round the world. After years of long, lush locks, worn in a variety of shades, textures and lengths, the singer/actress decided she had enough and went punk pixie short. Cyrus bleached it blonde and went as close cropped as you could get. So far, she hasn’t stopped cutting.
As the weeks went by, Miss Miley went blonder and shorter, and has gone on record to say that she will never, like, ever get back together with long hair.
In honor of Miley embracing the shorter side of life, we were inspired to look back at some of her best hairstyles over the year. She’s always been well-coiffed, and whether her strands are long or short, curly or straight, blonde or brown, textured or two-toned, she always keeps us guessing.
Bringing out a large number of celebrities to raise money for a good cause, Elton John hosted his 21st Annual AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party on Sunday night (24th February) held at the Pacific Design Centre in West Hollywood, California.
Keeping her look simple yet chic, Miley sizzled in a sleek, white, Azzaro gown, with a plunging back. The elegant dress was accessorized with Lorraine Schwartz jewelry, which complimented the diamond studs on the straps across the back – finishing the look with Givenchy shoes.
Showcasing her natural beauty with minimal make-up – simple mascara, bronzed cheeks and pretty pink lips – the singer/actress kept her look fresh and clean.
Speaking on the carpet at the event, Miley said of Elton John: “He’s been a friend for a while and always had me coming here and always had me involved. It’s just always been something that’s really important to me, because [..] just such an inspiration, that I want to help in what ever his vision is.”
Inside the event, Miley caught up with a number of big names – from Brit award winner Emeli Sande, to friend Kelly Osbourne, to reality TV stars Kim & Kourtney Kardashian. Elton himself also took the time during the Oscar Viewing Party to take a photo with Miley and Kelly.
