Miley Cyrus and Kelly Osbourne starred together in So Undercover, a film that sees Miley play a private-eye hired by the FBI to go undercover at a college sorority to hunt out THE BADDIES. Her character’s a bit of a tomboy, so when she has to pose as a soroity sister she gets into a bit of a flap over shedding her tough-girl image and knuckling down to hair braiding and nail painting.

Turns out, actual real-life Miley was a bit curious about how the whole thing was gonna work out too, and the film’s producers sent her and Kelly Osbourne to a real-life sorority to hang out and ‘observe’, to get a real feel for what it was like to be part of.

Miley Cyrus has a bit of a bone to pick with Justin Bieber. After the Biebs’ SNL skit in which he played the president of her fan club, Cyrus hopes art imitates life. “I haven’t gotten to see it yet but I heard he’s my biggest fan in it. If he’s my biggest fan, maybe they can get him to call me back,” Cyrus said in her distinct teeny twang, about to take her front row seat at the Marchesa show on Wednesday evening. “Justin’s mom emailed me and told me to watch it. I’m sure I’ll think it’s hilarious. I heard he apologized for smoking weed [in the skit] so I think that’s funny.”

The starlet, in a cream, form-fitting number from the line, also discussed her fashion week outings thus far. “It was very my style,” Cyrus said of Rachel Zoe’s presentation, which she saw earlier in the day. She continued to give a wordy, often contradictory definition of that style. ”Sometimes it’s hard to find things that look punky but don’t look too girly but still look, like, nice. It wasn’t too thrifty but it was still kind of punk.” She displayed said ‘punk’ when she took her seat, throwing a leather bomber over her Marchesa frock.

Miley Cyrus recently made a big hoopla about how gorgeous she finds her soon-to-be hubby Liam in the pages of Cosmopolitan magazine, and who can blame her? At Cosmo‘s big bash in NYC, celebrating the issue’s launch, Miley tells ET that her fiancé can’t get enough of her sexy compliments.

“I’m the only fiancee that pimps her fiancé out,” Miley laughs, clarifying that by “pimps” she means “talks about how hot” her beau is.

“All these women are reading about sex in Cosmo, and then it’s like Liam naked in the pool. So he loves it, I’m sure.”

And speaking of sexy, Miley touched upon her daring topless cover shoot for the mag. When asked if it way her idea to strip down for the issue, the singer took responsibility for her skin-baring stunt.

With a sigh she says, “I guess it’s always all my fault.”

The room I’m in with Miley Cyrus, just off the entryway of her mansion in Toluca Lake, Los Angeles, used to house her dad’s guitars. Recently refurbished, now it’s one hundred percent Miley: a room stocked with mementos that show who this former child star used to be and who she is now, at age 20.

There’s a picture of 5-year-old Miley sitting in the lap of her dad, Billy Ray, at SeaWorld. Nearby is a photo of her in a passionate clinch with Hunger Games star Liam Hemsworth, taken mere hours after they got engaged. A book of art from Tim Burton, who directed Miley in her first film, Big Fish, dominates a table, while a cast photo from her new movie, So Undercover, sits on a book shelf a little farther away. Under that photo is a tree branch that Miley’s former security guard expertly carved into the shape of a guitar’s headstock and fretboard–a reminder that Miley will soon release a buzzed-about new album, her first since wrapping the show that made her famous.

The room can barely contain the energetic star, who tries to settle in a chair, then bounds up to perch on its armrest, and at other times, leans in to show off the contents of her iPhone, filled with pictures of Liam, her dogs, and screenshots from the TV movie Liz and Dick. The star of So Undercover talks music, changing hairstyles and ridiculous rumours…

Your new platinum-blonde crop has caused a sensation – did you expect it to get such a strong reaction?
“I knew there would be one, ’cause from the beginning of time, any woman considered hot has had long hair. And I think that is so off because if someone has the confidence to cut their hair, that automatically makes them more relatable because they’re not shy, they have a sense of who they are. Also, I feel like people can look at me and know me better and get a sense of who I am, rather than when I had my long hair. I didn’t represent who I was in any way. I wore it up in a bun all day because I didn’t know what else to do with it. And then it just looked like I didn’t care for myself or put time into what I wanted to look like.”

How did your fiance react?
“Liam [Hemsworth] has actually been the best, because you hear your whole life about how women are supposed to have long, glorious hair. And every movie you see where it’s the hot dream girl, she has long hair. Maybe it’s old Hollywood, maybe that’s it. But now it’s such a different look and so much better to see someone’s face. And it takes courage to do it. It’s not scary, but it’s definitely an adrenaline rush when they’re taking the scissors to the hair. It takes a long time to grow back. I think that’s the scary part – growing it out, not when you cut it. Mine may never come back!”

Are you focusing on your music at the moment?
“My next record is basically done – we’re just trying to figure out the single. I want my single to be what’s going to represent the whole record, rather than what’s gonna be a hit for two weeks. I really want it to be something I can be proud of.”
