Britney Spears has been voted the Sexiest Woman in Music in a poll conducted in Billboard magazine. Over 600,000 people voted in the poll with the 30-year-old singer earning 45% of the first place vote.

In a distant second was Lady Gaga, who earned a meager 12% of the vote. Other musicians who made the list include Beyoncé and Miley Cyrus.

Spears’ last album was 2011′s Femme Fetale and she was recently added as a judge to Fox’s X-Factor television show.

Meanwhile, the Sexiest Man in Music title went to former American Idol contestant Adam Lambert. Lambert received 26% of the reader vote, while Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine came in second place with 12%. Justin Bieber came third after scoring 10%, ahead of Enrique Iglesias with 9.75%.

She’s in tip-top condition to walk down the aisle! The 19-year-old star credits a gluten-free diet with her suddenly svelte physique. “Everyone should try no gluten for a week,” the bride-to-be Tweeted in April. “The change in your skin, physical and mental health is amazing! You won’t go back!”

The singer/actress is well known for her role in the Hannah Montana series and her spectacular musical career. The Disney actress had a huge worldwide success with Hannah Montana and in October 2006 a soundtrack for the popular series was released. Her musical career starts with the album “Meet Miley Cyrus”, the second album was “Breakout”, both having a great success. Cyrus has a uniqe , strong, unmistakable voice.

This list is ranked on the total amounts made since the Forbes list began in 1999 all the way to 2011, each female is ranked based only on the years she was on the list added into one total figure. The Celebrity 100, which includes film and television actors, TV personalities, models, athletes, authors, musicians and comedians, is a measure of entertainment-related earnings and media visibility (exposure in print, television, radio and online).

To compile our earnings numbers, we talk to industry insiders including agents, lawyers, producers and other experts to come up with an estimate for what each celebrity earned between May 1, 2010, and May 1, 2011. Earnings consist of pretax gross income. Management, agent and attorney fees are not deducted. Online exposure is measured using Google ( GOOG – news – people ). Press mentions come from Factiva, and we use Lexis/Nexis to find out how many times each star was mentioned on television or on the radio. We comb through dozens of magazines from the past 12 months to count how many times each star appeared on covers. Twitter followers and Facebook fans are measured using Twitter and Facebook searches.
