Miley recently did a new interview for Germany. Be sure to check it out above and if you don’t speak German, check out the translated version below!
Interviewer: She obviously doesn’t want to be a cute teenager anymore as you can see by her new nose piercing. Miley is here to promote her new movie LOL which means Laughing Out Loud but in the interview Miley never laughs. She looked really self-controlled and professional. There has to be a lot of pressure on Miley as a teen – idol.
Miley: The money you gain is a type of compensation for all the hate on the internet and for the paparazzi. You can buy yourself a big house but you’re not able to leave it because as soon as you are out on the streets, its like you’re under fire.
Interviewer: You can see how hard Miley has struggled with this in the last couple of months. Some people say The Ex-Hannah Montana Star is about to turn into a bitch. Sometimes she doesn’t wear any underwear, sometimes she swears at the paparazzi.
Miley (to paparazzi): Fuck off you dirty fucking pigs!
Interviewer: Last month pictures shocked us when we saw bruises on Miley’s arms, this proves that Miley has self-harmed. Also Miley looks like she is anorexic. The 19-year old girl says that all these rumors hurt her.
Miley: If I loose weight, I’m anorexic. If I gain weight, I’m fat. People often forget how hard it is when everybody judges you. There are a lot of people who can’t get along with this and break down because of that.
Interviewer: Demi Moore who plays Miley’s mother in the movie, that comes out May 31st, was about to break down because of that. She of all the people, who just went into a rehab center, is Miley’s role model.
Miley: She’s unbelievable great and she’s my mentor. She has been doing this job for years now and nothing’s gonna knock her down.
Interviewer: Miley wants to work less so she can concentrate on herself. Hopefully she does this and hopefully she doesn’t follows her role model’s Demi example.
Miley Cyrus got the shaft. So did Demi Moore, Ashley Greene Golden Globe nominated actor Thomas Jane and Hollywood legend Marlo Thomas.Lions Gate Entertainment Corpleft them all twisting in the wind.
The film studio pulled the rug out from under their movie, “LOL: Laughing Out Loud,” to focus on block busters.
While the actors, crew and director Lisa Azuelos-Alessandrin, were all hurt by the studio, Miley is bearing the brunt of this fiasco because the picture was a starring vehicle for her.
It’s a shame because LOL may not be an Academy Award contender, but it’s certainly on par with any of the rom-coms Jennifer Aniston has cranked out. The French version, also directed by Azuelos, was a smash hit.
But it never got the support required to launch a successful movie. Lionsgate did virtually no marketing. Not surprising since it was struggling itself, and on the verge of a hostile takeover by corporate raider Carl Ichan.
It acquired the U.S. distribution rights from Mandate Pictures in Oct. 2010, while it was under Ichan’s assault. Mandate was a wholly-owned subsidiary of Lionsgate, operating as an independent brand. LOL marked the first collaboration between the two, according to Variety.
We knew the chances for this one were slim, but now that the results are in, it’s sort of epic.
Miley Cyrus’ film “LOL,” made a total of only $46,500 this weekend, Movie City News estimates. That is just a few hundred dollars more than what “Marvel’s The Avengers” — which drew a record-breaking weekend total of more than $200 million — took in per theater: $46,100, according to MCN.
Sure, it had a much narrower release, appearing in only 105 theaters nationwide, but “LOL” made less per-theater ($440) than any other film in conventional U.S. theaters this weekend, running behind “Wrath of the Titans,” which made $640 per theater (and has been out for more than a month).
Cyrus is already on damage control. Today she tweeted:
Thank u so much for everyone who went to see LOL. It is a film I loved making and I am proud of…. That’s really all that matters to me. ❤

“My guess is Lionsgate had test screenings that were catastrophic,” says box office analyst Len Klady of “LOL”‘s weak weekend reception, adding that he wasn’t aware of any conventional advertising going on. Indeed, the film did not have a premiere event and Cyrus did no interviews with major outlets for “LOL,” indicating much-curtailed — if non existent — publicity. Moreover, the film was not screened for review, leading one journalist to say, “…for all we know, ‘LOL’ stands for lack of laughter. Proceed with caution.”
Yesterday, a new on set video of Miley from LOL surfaced online. The movie was released into select theaters yesterday in the US, so make sure you go and see it if it’s out near you! Lionsgate may be expanding the film if it does well. Fans that saw it yesterday have already said how amazing the film was and how awesome Miley was too. Check it out!
The film “LOL” is beginning to get a lot of buzz! Not only is it a world-wide trending topic on Twitter this past week, but just as I’m posting this article, the film was featured on “Entertainment Tonight.”
If you don’t know about this film, “LOL” stars Miley Cyrus and Demi Moore as a daughter and mother who are dealing with everything that comes with being a teenager as well as raising a teenager–love, friendship and the bond between a mother and her daughter. The film also stars Douglas Booth and Ashley Greene.
In a world connected by YouTube, iTunes and Facebook, Lola and her friends navigate the peer pressures of high school romance and friendship while dodging their sometimes overbearing and confused parents. When Lola’s mom, Anne, accidentally reads her teenage daughter’s racy journal, she realizes just how wide their communication gap has grown. As a new year at school begins, Lola’s heart is broken by her boyfriend, though soon she’s surprised by her best friend, promising musician Kyle, who reveals his feelings for her. Through hilarious and heartfelt moments between mother and daughter, LOL is a fresh coming-of-age story for modern times.
After nearly two years of waiting, LOL is finally here. The movie hits 100 theaters in the Houston, Sacramento, Salt Lake City, Minneapolis, St. Louis, Nashville, and Cleveland areas tomorrow (4th May) – and it may be expanding to a wider market in the second week!

The film has a limited release in the US – only showing in 7 states and in just over 100 theaters – so we need a lot of people to see the movie when it’s released. If more people go to see it, Lionsgate might expand it into more theaters – which is already a possibility so we need all of you fans in those areas to go and see the movie! Take as many friends as you can, go and see it more than once, spread the word to other people who haven’t seen it. The movie is going to be amazing and I think everyone should be able to see it!
