Last month, Miley’s long awaited movie LOL was released into select theaters in the US. Unfortunately, the movie’s released was quite limited so not everyone had the chance to see it.

Luckily, we don’t have to wait too long to buy it on DVD! You can now pre-order the DVD & blu-ray which comes out on 31st July.

Miley Cyrus, the star of the Disney children’s television show Hannah Montana, has spoken of how easy she found her first love scene, with the actor Douglas Booth, in the forthcoming film LOL.

Booth who caused hearts to flutter when he starred in the BBC adaptation of Great Expectations, was left with a different impression. “We actually filmed the sex scenes on the first day, so it was incredibly awkward,” he admits to Mandrake at the Royal Academy’s Summer Exhibition Preview Party.

Booth, 19, resisted the temptation to get in the mood by listening to the pop records that Cyrus, 19, has recorded. “It’s not the kind of music I would listen to, but I know that it is very popular,” he says.

The actor adds that he holds a great deal of affection for the singer, even if they have little in common. “Miley is great, she’s in a completely different stratosphere from me, and moves in completely different circles.”

That was quick! After a short and highly limited theatrical run, Miley Cyrus’ latest movie, ‘LOL,’ will be released on DVD next month.

‘LOL,’ which costars Demi Moore, features Cyrus as a teen going through some issues with sex, drugs, drinking and generally growing up. It’s her edgiest film role yet to date.

Unfortunately, it was also her least lucrative. Only released in 105 theaters, ‘LOL’ was considered a box office bomb. It’s speculated that heavy spending and promo for ‘The Hunger Games’ (which starred Cyrus’ boyfriend, Liam Hemsworth) was behind the studio’s decision not to heavily promote the film, so it’s a bit unfair to chalk it up only to Cyrus’ allegedly fading star power (after all, we are writing about her right now). The limited release likely also limited fans’ ability to get to see the film at all.

To add insult to injury, Lionsgate released the movie on May 4, competing with record-shattering juggernaut ‘The Avengers’ on its opening weekend, effectively dooming the movie to be D.O.A.

Hollywood Life reports that ‘LOL’ will be available on July 31 on DVD and Blu-Ray, complete with special features including audio commentary and behind-the-scenes featurettes.

In what may be brighter news for the starlet’s acting career, Cyrus’ next movie, ‘So Undercover,’ hits screens on June 27. The Daily Mail reports that Cyrus learned a bit of hand-to-hand combat for the role, in which she plays an FBI agent. “I’ve been doing fighting, like learning how to box,” she said. “I have a trainer and I have bruises everywhere from, like, kicking the bags … and I’ve learned how to use guns, which was really scary.”

LOL is out today (1st June) in the United Kingdom and Ireland! I went to see it with my friend and it’s amazing – if you can get to a cinema that is showing it, please try and make sure that you do! There has been no promotion for the movie in the UK either and we need as many people as we can to go and watch it. You won’t regret seeing it, it’s seriously an amazing movie and I’m so proud of Miley, she was amazing. According to JustJared – we have two bits of good news for you!

In recent updates, they have said that LOL will be out on DVD on 31st July! This is awesome, considering it hasn’t been out for very long, and the release was so limited that hardly anyone got to see it.

In even better news – So Undercover will be in theatres 27th June! Unfortunately, there will be no promotion for the movie and it’s rumoured to be limited to a release of 500 theatres – I think it’s time we set up another fan promotion project!
