But they wanna keep it secret, y’all! The “We Can’t Stop” singer was spotted Thursday in L.A., in pics obtained by X17 Online, trying to hide from the paparazzi as she left a studio were the Biebs was said to be recording.

A source tells E! News that “something has been in the works for a collaboration” between the former tween idols, but isn’t quite sure “how far along” the twosome are in this mysterious project.

Thursday night, Miley wrote that she had to put her “#phonedown” to “focus on making this music with [producer] @MikeWiLLMadeIT.” The Biebs wasn’t explicitly mentioned, but Liam Hemsworth’s love clearly wants to keep this project on the DL.

The next day, Justin, 19, retweeted director Alfredo Flores, who said that, “@justinbieber’s been in the studio everyday since we got back. Kid doesn’t stop! Get Ready!”

Oh, we’re ready.

Selena Gomez may have missed out to fellow child star Miley Cyrus in the Maxim Hot 100 List for the number one spot, but she’s been nothing but graceful about Miley’s win, claiming that she thinks she’s “beautiful”.

The 20-year-old singer came second place in the lads mag list of the world’s sexiest celebrities, as bleached former Hannah Montana star Miley came in at number one. In a recent interview with Boston’s Kiss FM radio station, the Spring Breakers actress was asked what her reaction is to the results in the poll: “She’s beautiful”, she gushed.

The two may have started out on the Disney Channel, as Selena began her fame on The Wizards of Waverly Place when she played the starring role of Alex, but their Disney past could not have been put further behind them, particularly with regards to 20-year-old Miley.

After shaving off her long, brunette locks last year in an attempt to shake her Hannah Montana image, the Can’t Be Tamed singer has increasingly become involved in sexier photo shoots and ultra mini denim hotpants have become possible future Mrs Hemsworth’s wardrobe staple.

Justin Bieber’s on-off girlfriend Selena has too been slowly shaking her teen image by starring in Harmony Korine’s controversial movie, Spring Breakers, whereby Selena and her co-stars spend an hour and a half gallivanting around in their teeny bikinis, tampering with drug use and engaging in sexual scenes.

Becoming top of a lads’ mag sexiest women poll doesn’t seem something that would bother your average Hollywood celeb as Selena sounded less than impressed with the concept of the list, admitting to not fully getting the ‘point’ of the polls, and doesn’t understand the ‘need’ for them.

Miley however seemed pretty chuffed with her top spot though, as she admitted to Maxim: “It feels amazing to be number one especially because it was voted by the fans. I have the best fans in the world!”

Miley Cyrus has explained her sex appeal lies in the fact that she never tries too hard.

The singer recently topped Maxim magazine’s Hot 100 list after shedding her good girl image with a radical make-over.

Last year, the former Disney actress overhauled her girl-next-door look with a bleached blonde crop and a rock-inspired new wardrobe.

The Hannah Montana starlet explained that her drastic new hair cut and colour have given her an attitude boost.

“I think just never trying too hard,” Miley explained to ET Online. “My favourite thing is I love having short hair. I love it being just all about being confident and giving face. I love that.”

Miley, who is engaged to fellow actor Liam Hemsworth, added that she felt honoured to have been voted the sexiest woman.

The 20-year-old, who maintains her slim and toned figure with regular Pilates sessions, beat the likes of Mila Kunis, Jennifer Lawrence and Rihanna to the title.

The honour has previously been awarded to Hollywood bombshells including Jessica Alba and Katy Perry.

“It’s amazing! I said it in my article: I think it’s every girl’s dream to be able to say that they got number one in Maxim’s 100, and it’s kind of a once-in-a-lifetime thing, so it’s just insane,” Miley gushed.

The stunning star suspects that her huge fan base had something to do with her winning the top spot.

“It’s really because of the fans,” she explained. “I would like to think it’s because I’m the most gorgeous woman in the world but it’s because of my fans, really. So, it’s awesome.”

Pop/rock superstar Miley Cyrus might be debuting her new single “We Can’t Stop” at the Billboard Music Awards this Sunday, May 20 from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. That’s what the 20-year-old performer revealed in a series of tweets she sent out online to her millions of fans tonight.

“Big announcement about #wecantstop coming @billboard,” Cyrus wrote on Twitter, posting the caption along with the single art that revealed the new song’s hash-tagged title in white, block letters placed over a photo of Cyrus screaming, with both hands clasping her head.

“Cats outta the bag! LETS TREND MY 1st SINGLE #wecantstop,” Cyrus tweeted, asking her followers to help her make the first release of her forthcoming album trending worldwide. That’s what she immediately got, just ten short minutes later, which the “Can’t Be Tamed” singer revealed on her next Twitter message.

“#WeCantStop is the NUMBER ONE trending topic worldwide! Retweet if you can’t wait till I release #wecantstop @MikeWiLLMadeIt…We can’t stop TRENDING #wecantstop,” Cyrus exclaimed. Perhaps Cyrus wanted to know how much her fans want to hear her new music and depending on their response, the “Ashtrays and Heartbreak” collaborator might just release it even before the BMAs this weekend.

Miley Cyrus thinks Rihanna should be at the top of Maxim’s 2013 Hot 100 list.

The 20-year-old singer – who is engaged to Australian actor Liam Hemsworth – has been crowned the magazine’s sexiest woman of the year but admitted if she had a choice, Rihanna, 25, would be number one.

She told HollywoodLife.com: ”I think Rihanna. She is so sexy!”

Miley, who leaked the results early via her Twitter page before the publication officially announced the results, admitted she was so excited about the accolade, she found it impossible to keep the secret.

She said: ”My first reaction was to go straight to Twitter but I had to keep my paws off my phone. I had to keep my thumbs from pressing send. I think I announced it four days earlier by accident, but it was all because I was so excited.”

Miley also posted an exclusive picture of herself from the magazine’s upcoming steamy spread, in which she is laying seductively on a beach in a gold swimsuit even though she recently claimed she was no longer interested in stripping down for photo-shoots.

She said: ”A star is someone who doesn’t have to take her clothes off to be sexy because you naturally have star power. Sex does sell, but you have to find a way that’s not just showing your tits. I don’t want to be a glorified model. They just walk on stage and it’s all about their clothes – or lack of clothes.”

Cyrus took to Twitter tonight and revealed that the title of her new song is “We Can’t Stop.”

This year’s Billboard Music Awards has some top performers and the list of presenters, which is just as star-studded, has now been confirmed.

The event, which is due to take place on May 19 in Las Vegas, will be hosted by actor and comedian Tracy Morgan, but he will be joined by a string of well-loved musicians who will act as presenters for the night.

Singer Miley Cyrus, Ke$ha and Carly Rae Jepsen have all been announced for the exciting role, but a further 11 music stars will also present awards and segments at the extravaganza. Several Hollywood personalities will step in as presenters, including ‘Nashville’ beauty Hayden Panettiere, ‘Dark Shadows’ actress Chloe Moretz, and Alyssa Milano.

Selena Gomez, Taylor Swift and Bruno Mars are all set to perform live at the Billboard Music Awards, which will also see Madonna honoured with a special award for her touring achievements.

Last night, The Source Magazine spoke with one of our favorite songwriters, Angela Hunte, on the red carpet for the 2013 SESAC Pop Music Awards at the New York Public Library. Hunte who recently co-wrote Snoop Lion’s “Reincarnated,” and is probably best known for penning Jay-Z’s “Empire State of Mind,” is always in the studio with the biggest names in music. She told The Source that she recently worked with Jennifer Hudson and Ledisi on their upcoming projects, but the session that most peaked our interest was Miley Cyrus!

“Miley is amazing, she is amazing, she was a sweetheart and super professional. She was a pleasure to work with, I had a ball. We had fun. It wasn’t even like we were working, we were just laughing and having a good time with Diplo and its been fun. I’ve been working a lot with Diplo, that’s my boy,” Hunte told The Source exclusively.

So did Diplo just call you up to jam with Miley?

Angela Hunte: Absolutely, that’s what it is. If he’s doing something or he’s working on something he’s like, “Hey Angela come through I’m working on it” and he was like “I’m getting ready to do a record with Miley, why don’t you come to the studio?”

This new Miley Cyrus album is probably the most anticipated project of the year! 

Angela Hunte: Let me tell you something, I heard some of her records and it’s f*cking incredible! I was completely shocked. I can’t believe it and it’s not forced it doesn’t sound like they forced Miley to be this person she’s not, it’s her just with a brand new sound!

The Mike Will Made It produced Miley Cyrus album still does not have a release date, but Hunte is positive the project will blow your mind.

However, many fans misinterpreted Miley’s tweets as an attack towards Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift. When tweeted that her own fans have sent hate before, Miley replied saying, “Smilers put your claws away BiTcHeS! #allgoodindahood. I said nothing about either of them …. I said some fans are acting like psychos. Example A.”

She then continued to say, “Btw im not saying Smilers can’t act cray cray too. #deaththreats #TOOOOFAR. We are all friends. Why can’t you all be? someones gotta speak up! Take all the energy you spend hating and use it to love your artists! Even if that artist ain’t me!”.

I love and respect Miley for bringing this up. It’s such a waste of time to spread hateful comments to other fans and celebrities and I admire that she used her Twitter to urge her fans to do better things and to not send hate to others. What did you think of Miley’s tweets?
