It’s official – Britney Spears is joining the cast of Simon Cowell’s musical talent show The X Factor after signing a $15 million deal.

The “Toxic” singer will sit alongside Cowell and Antonio ‘L.A.’ Reid on the judges panel according to E! Online.

“The contract is signed,” a source tells the website. “There’s been a lot of back and forth over the past few weeks as they negotiated the small details, but she’s on. It’s all completed and Britney is beyond excited.”

Britney verbally agreed to the terms of the contract a few weeks ago, and several minor details had to be worked out before she signed.

Last week rumors that Britney made several outrageous demands in the contract – including details of the decor of her dressing room, among other things; however, a rep for Britney shot down the rumors, telling GossipCop.com that there was no truth to those stories.

She can’t wait to sit down next to Simon at the judges’ table and give this everything she’s got,” says the source that confirmed the news. “She is excited about showing the world that she can do this, and do this well. This is the perfect next stage in her career. Both Britney and Simon are very excited to work together.”

Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger, along with host Steve Jones, were all let go from the show after its first season, and Britney is the first official replacement. Rumor has it that Demi Lovato and Miley Cyrus are both in talks to join the show. Cowell has shown a big interest in getting Demi on the panel and Miley is rumored to be the frontrunner to be the show’s new host.

“She may not be the fourth judge but she may be the host. The new Steve Jones may be Miley Cyrus,” a source tells HollywoodLife.com. “Simon Cowell likes Demi and Miley and wants them both and [Miley] is considering it.”

With the rumor mill in full swing that Britney Spears and Demi Lovato are in line to join the judging table at “The X Factor,” the show appears to be turning its attention to the hosting duties. And the latest word has it that Miley Cyrus may just be a candidate.

HollywoodLife.com is reporting that Cyrus could be one of the two people to take over for the fired Steve Jones. EP Simon Cowell has previously stated that it is his goal to have a male and female co-host for the singing competition.

Cyrus had previously been rumored to be under consideration for a judging position. But since then, Lovato has become a leading contender.

At just 19, Cyrus would be the youngest host of any of the shows in the genre. “American Idol” personality Ryan Seacrest is 37 while Carson Daly of “The Voice” is 38. Quddus, 31, will host ABC’s “Duets.”

Miley Cyrus is being eyed as a potential fourth judge on Fox’s X Factor, Celebuzz has exclusively learned.

The ‘Party in the USA’ pop star is on Simon Cowell’s top-secret shortlist that also includes Fergie, Avril Lavigne and Demi Lovato, a production insider confirmed

“There have been talks with Miley,” the source revealed.

Whilst Britney Spears has not yet inked her deal, it’s believed to be inevitable that she will join Cowell and fellow judge L.A. Reid, the chairman of Epic Records, in a deal worth up to $15 million, the source added.

“Britney’s deal is not done, it’s close, but we are not that far ahead to be making a formal announcement,” a source told Celebuzz.

Last week, in a move believed to be tied to Spears’ new X Factor gig, a Los Angeles judge made the ‘Toxic’ singer’s fiancé, Jason Trawick, a co-conservator, allowing him to sign off on decisions related to her career.

19-year-old Cyrus’ link to the vacant role comes as Cowell seeks to replace Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul, who he fired after last season.

An X Factor spokesperson refused to confirm talks with any of the stars when contacted.

“Miley Cyrus has been making a habit of over-sharing personal details about her life lately,” begins a piece from In Touch, which says the singer is desperate to steal the spotlight back from boyfriend Liam Hemsworth.

The mag, which recently claimed that Cyrus was flashing her breasts and exercising compulsively to grab the attention back from Hemsworth’s newfound Hunger Games fame, now says she started “her own anorexia rumors!”

Yes, In Touch alleges that Cyrus, who last week tweeted a photo of her holding a bag of fast food with the caption, “I can’t eat it. So I’m just gonna smell the sh*ttttt out of it,” only did so in an effort to get her followers to speculate about her having an eating disorder.

Right.

The tabloid explains, “Miley made an attempt to defend her dramatic weight loss by claiming to have a gluten allergy, only drawing more attention to her bony body.”

A so-called “insider” for the mag adds, “Miley is willing to do anything to get attention.”

Of course.

Because the obvious response to one’s boyfriend achieving professional success is to start anorexia rumors about oneself.

Miley Cyrus is continuing to flame the engagement rumor flames by once again sporting a very engagement-y long ring while out with boyfriend Liam Hemsworth at a charity event hosted by Muhammad Ali.

Miley tweeted a photo of the ring earlier this week, but made no mention of it directly, sparking people to wonder if the wild child and the “Hunger Games” star were planning on getting hitched in the near future.

Miley Cyrus supported boyfriend Liam Hemsworth last night (12.03.12) at the world premiere of his new film ‘Hunger Games’.

The singer-and-actress wore a figure revealing black cropped top and see-through long skirt as she posed on the charcoal and gold carpet with her handsome beau and admitted shooting the action film took its toll on Liam.

She said: ”I think the hardest part for Liam was being away from me. And his brother and his family.

”At least he’s not in a tour bus and is in a nice hotel somewhere. It’s a little less bumpy, a little more sleep.”

Liam – who plays Gale Hawthorne in the eagerly-anticipated film – also confessed it was hard being away from home but loved every minute of it.

Looking dashing in a black suit, Liam said: ”On one hand, it’s hard being on your own, but on the other, I’m making movies and it’s something I love. One of the great things about this job is traveling getting to see the country and the world.”

Miley says she will be accompanying Liam around the world to attend the film’s other premieres with him.

She joked: ”I’m probably going to see this about 13 times. I’m going to be a fan soon after this comes out. I’m going to be addicted.”

Other stars at the premiere at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles included Jennifer Lawrence, who plays the lead character Katniss Everdeen, Josh Hutcherson and Elizabeth Banks.

They will be visiting water and health projects in Tanzania and trying to develop a direct partnership with Maji-TechEngineering, a Water drilling company based at Arusha in Tanzania, founded in 2002, it has provided safe drinking water for over 1.25 million people in East Africa.

Sex And The City is coming back to TV as a prequel — and Miley Cyrus is keen on the starring role.

The Carrie Diaries will follow Carrie’s teenage adventures when she moves to New York and meets future maneater, Samantha Jones.

Singer Miley, who had a cameo role as herself in the film Sex And The City 2, said: “I’d love it.

“I’m not attached [to the project], so I don’t want to say that, but that would be very cool.”

US network CW, which also makes Gossip Girl, has ordered a pilot for a weekly series.

Shakira and teen idol Miley Cyrus recorded a duet that will be presented on 14 February as part of a charity gala, according to El Universal of Venezuela.

The single, which will be called Love & Rock, to raise funds for children with severe heart disease, and although not confirmed, it is expected that the Colombian and former Disney girl recorded a video clip together.

According to the representative of Shakira said “this song is for charity and non-commercial.”

This would be the second major collaboration with American singer Shakira. The first time was with Beyoncé in 2007 when both joined their vocal power and suggestive hip movements in the hit Beautiful Liar.
