After becoming tired of all the hateful comments received via Twitter, Miley Cyrus decided to urge her fans not to involve themselves in such behaviour. She started by tweeting, “Everyday someone with a Swift or Gomez in there name wishes terrible things upon me (death is popular) Please Smilers don’t ever think somehow you are supporting me by being hateful towards other artist. My fans make me proud by supporting my music & everything I do. Im sure these haters would make their idols much happier tweeting bout their music rather than wishing death upon their peers like psychos”.

However, many fans misinterpreted Miley’s tweets as an attack towards Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift. When tweeted that her own fans have sent hate before, Miley replied saying, “Smilers put your claws away BiTcHeS! #allgoodindahood. I said nothing about either of them …. I said some fans are acting like psychos. Example A.”

She then continued to say, “Btw im not saying Smilers can’t act cray cray too. #deaththreats #TOOOOFAR. We are all friends. Why can’t you all be? someones gotta speak up! Take all the energy you spend hating and use it to love your artists! Even if that artist ain’t me!”.

I love and respect Miley for bringing this up. It’s such a waste of time to spread hateful comments to other fans and celebrities and I admire that she used her Twitter to urge her fans to do better things and to not send hate to others. What did you think of Miley’s tweets?

After months of teases, Miley Cyrus finally seems poised to give fans new music from her forthcoming album. The singer took to Twitter late Thursday to reveal, as coyly as she could, that fans can expect something new from her at the Billboard Music Awards this month.

“Maybe y’all will find out a LIL sum at the up coming @billboard music awards! Maybe…. Like…. A…. Singgggg…..llllleeeee……………..,” she wrote, leaving fans in the dark about any other details. The show goes live from Las Vegas on May 19.

Back in March, when she called into Ryan Seacrest’s radio show, Cyrus teased that she was likely to drop a collaboration with Snoop Lion, which she recorded for her as-yet-untitled upcoming album.

Fans got a taste of what the new Miley sounds like courtesy of two collaborations: one additional collabo with Snoop titled “Ashtrays and Heartaches,” and a will.i.am team-up called “Fall Down.”

Additional details about Cyrus’ next album release have yet to be announced, but production team Da Internz noted that Miley is all grown up on it. “I can say it’s definitely going to shock a lot of people; definitely grown up,” Ernest “Tuo” Clark told MTV News earlier this year. “It’s natural; it’s not her trying to do like pop, four on the floor. What she did was, I just feel like, was different and needed in the game and, then, for her, a huge ‘wow’ factor.

In addition to new music, the singer has been named Maxim magazine’s hottest woman on their annual Hot 100 list. The singer teased the news last week and it was confirmed on Thursday. She beat out the likes of Selena Gomez, who landed at #2, and Rihanna, who sits at #3. Actresses Mila Kunis and Jennifer Lawrence sit at #4 and #5, respectively.

“It feels amazing to be No. 1, especially because it was voted on by the fans. I have the best fans in the world!” she told the magazine about the triumph. “It’s every woman’s fantasy to be told she’s No.1 on Maxim‘s Hot 100! So crazy!”

She tweeted on Thursday evening to her nearly 12 million fans that the countdown is on.

“Dayummm y’all THIRSTY for some new music! Coming soon! I promise! Stay tuned,” Miley teased. Then, she added, “Maybe y’all will find out a LIL sum at the up coming @billboard music awards,” which are on May 19. “Maybe…. Like…. A…. Singgggg…..llllleeeee……………..”

Miley’s upcoming fourth album has been her main focus over much of the past year.

During a Google+ hangout last month with Will.i.am (she’s on his new album!), the engaged 20-year-old told fans she is now concentrating on new music more than ever before. “All I do is focus on my music,” Miley shared online. “The only place I ever am is at the studio.”

Unintentional punk icon Miley Cyrus has been getting off on torturing her fans with the promise of new music for so long now, it feels like a few hip-hop collaborations of decent quality (see: Snoop Lion, will.i.am) are the best the world can possibly expect — but a respite from the misery might be coming very soon. Miley Cyrus has been named No. 1 on Maxim’s Hot 100 list. she announced over the weekend.

For her first-ever Instagram post, the singer posted a pic of herself in a gold bathing suit with side cutouts. “My 1st Instagram is dedicated to all my fans ❤ thank you for crowning me #1Maxim Hot 100,” she wrote as the caption.

The sexy photo already has more than 55,000 “likes” on the social network.

Miley also tweeted about the honor:

Jennifer Lawrence has gotten the style approval from the queen of short haircuts. After the actress debuted a short new ‘do at the 2013 GLAAD Media Awards on Saturday, Apr. 20, her Hunger Games costar Liam Hemsworth‘s fiancee, Miley Cyrus, took to Twitter to pay her a compliment.

“I love JLAW’s new hair cut,” Cyrus, 20, tweeted with a heart emoticon on Apr. 22. “Short hair, don’t care.” In August 2012, the former Hannah Montana star famous cut her long locks into a pixie cut, and has since said she’ll never have long hair again.

As for whether or not Lawrence, 22, loves her new ‘do, her hairstylist, Mark Townsend, told Fashionista that she was the one who begged him to cut it all off.

“We cut about eight inches off. It’s a shag with tons of layers,” he explained. “She has never cut her hair this short, it’s always been long. She was so excited to do the cut. I was the nervous one! She kept saying, ‘I think we should go shorter.’”

After going back and forth between being a redhead for X-Men, brunette for Hunger Games and blonde for American Hustle, Townsend said the actress’ hair “did have quite a bit of damage.”

But Townsend agrees with Cyrus: this new look really suits her! “I love this shag on her,” the stylist gushed. “She can go straight for a super chic look or wavy for a fun, playful style and it’s long enough that she can still wear it in a short ponytail or updo.”
