I can almost see it – Miley Cyrus’ year will definitely be 2013!
However, 2012 wasn’t so bad either! A drastic makeover, a dramatic engagement and a couple shocking moments later, we are more in love with her than ever. Here are the 10 reasons why we once again fell in love with Miley in 2012!
Rumors are swirling that Miley Cyrus could replace Angus T. Jones on “Two and a Half Men.”
After the actor made waves with his show-bashing religious testimonial, a report circulated that Jones could be on his way out the door — and that Cyrus, who guest starred on the sitcom this season, was being eyed as a potential full-time replacement.
The rationale was that Cyrus brought “Two and a Half Men” big ratings with her appearances as Missi, and that she could be written into the show in a larger capacity to take over for Jones if he departs.
But Gossip Cop has learned there’s NO truth to the Cyrus-replacing-Jones rumors.
A spokesperson for Warner Bros. tells Gossip Cop the report is “not accurate.”
Meanwhile, sources close to the situation tell us that while Cyrus may yet appear in the future on “Two and a Half Men,” it’s “not a done deal,” and it has “nothing to do” with whether Jones stays.
In speaking with ET’s Christina McLarty, Miley Cyrus cleared up rumors that she and fiance Liam Hemsworth were planning multiple weddings, started by her dad.
According to Miley, she hasn’t even set one wedding date, let alone the three ceremonies that Billy Ray told Us Weekly were going to take place.
“My dad knows nothing,” Miley says, pointblank. “I think he’s getting cabin fever from [Superstorm Sandy]. He got stuck in his hotel and now he’s making up crazy things.”
Billy Ray has been in NYC, performing in a Broadway production of Chicago.
The 19-year-old singer/actress goes on to admit that the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.
“He does what I do: When he’s sitting in a press thing, he’s like, ‘Let’s make this fun. Let’s make some stuff up,’” Miley says.
Even with this recent flub, Miley does thank her parents for doing a good job of raising her, saying, “My parents have never been super strict, and people could think that’s bad or good, but people that judge me or say that I’m, like, crazy — they don’t know half the stuff their kids are doing.”
CBS’s “The Big Bang Theory” and “Two and a Half Men” stayed strong against added competition from NBC’s “The Voice” Thursday to handily win the night for CBS, according to preliminary numbers.
“Big Bang” matched its largest audience ever and equaled its season-high rating in the key 18-49 demographic as “Two and a Half Men” delivered its largest audience of the season while matching its highest demo rating of the season. “The Voice,” meanwhile, tied its lowest rating ever.
CBS easily won the night with a 3.2 rating/9 share in the key demo. It was also the most-watched network with 13.6 million total viewers. At 8, “The Big Bang Theory” slipped just 4 percent in the ratings against the added competition from the “The Voice.” It scored a 5.0/15 and 16.5 million total viewers. “Two and a Half Men” managed to improve on its last episode, rising 11 percent in the ratings to a 4.0/11. It had and 14.1 million total viewers. “Big Bang” was the top-rated and most-watched show of the night, and “Men” was the second-highest-rated and third-most-watched show.
There was relationship trouble all over the place on “Two and a Half Men,” though the return of Miley Cyrus certainly kept things moving. Walden, tired of having his heart broken, hired an actress to play his girlfriend — but then fell for her anyway. She didn’t break character, though, so he couldn’t quite tell how she felt. At least, until she told him she’s gay.
Miley Cyrus showed up as Missi for an impromptu visit. She was followed shortly by Jake, who said he was on a weekend leave. It turns out it was a weekend AWOL because he’d fallen in love with Missi. But while Jake was ready to run away with her, Missi was just looking to have some fun.
There was some wisdom in her stream-of-consciousness rambling this time around. Walden was miserable, having decided that he no longer believed in the concept of true love, but Missi still did.
She said it was like the first snowfall of the year when kids grab their sleds and take off. “You are zipping down the street, laughing and crying all at the same time and you never want it to end,” Missi said. “That’s what real love should feel like.”
Ratings can be a fickle game, and it was therefore hard to be certain Miley Cyrus was the true driver of “Two and a Half Men”‘s season high ratings for her first guest appearance.
That argument is now significantly easier to make; ratings again spiked for her appearance this week.
“Men” rose to a 4.0 adults 18-49 rating with 14.1 million viewers, easily winning its timeslot and building on last week’s performance.
While its CBS lead-in “The Big Bang Theory” was again strong, it actually dipped in the demo this week, averaging a 5.0 and 16.5 million viewers compared to last Thursday’s 5.1 and 15.7 million. That further supports the notion that Cyrus is spiking the ratings by a few tenths.
Tune into CBS to watch Miley’s next episode of Two and a Half Men – this Thursday, 8th November!
Her first guest appearance aired in October, bringing in the highest ratings for the season, and since the show moved to a Thursday night. Apparently, she’s coming back in a couple of weeks to appear in another episode! Check out the preview for her second episode above.
